Privacy Policy
Medicare Plan Exits is a static information site. We do not have accounts, logins, a lead form, or a database of visitors. This policy explains the small amount of data the site can see and the choices you have.
Effective date: October 24, 2026
What we do not collect
- We do not ask for your name, address, Social Security number, or Medicare number.
- We do not sell insurance plans or send your information to insurance agents.
- We do not sell personal information.
- The lookup tool does not send your ZIP code to our server. It reads a static county file in your browser.
ZIP code lookup
When you use the plan exit lookup, your browser maps the ZIP code to a county using a data file downloaded from this site. The ZIP code stays in your browser. We do not log it, store it, or include it in analytics events.
Optional analytics
We may load Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity only if the site owner has configured measurement IDs and you choose “Allow analytics.” Neither script loads before your choice. If you choose “No analytics” or your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, the scripts do not load.
If analytics is enabled, the providers may receive standard technical data such as page URL, referring page, browser type, approximate region, and interaction events. We do not send your ZIP code, name, email, SSN, or Medicare number to analytics. We use analytics only to understand which pages are useful and which pages need improvement.
The lookup tool page does not load analytics at all, even when analytics is enabled elsewhere on the site.
Cookies and local storage
The site stores one local preference in your browser: your analytics choice (“granted” or “denied”). It is stored in local storage, not sent to us, and can be cleared through your browser settings. Analytics providers may set their own cookies if you allow analytics. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels.
Your choices
- Choose “No analytics” in the consent banner, or clear the site’s local storage to see the banner again.
- Use your browser’s Do Not Track or tracking-protection setting.
- Block third-party scripts with a browser extension.
- Email [email protected] with a privacy question.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA. Because the site does not have accounts or a lead form, we generally do not hold personal information that can be linked to you.
Third-party links
Pages link to Medicare.gov, the SHIP locator, CMS, and other public sources. Those sites have their own privacy policies. We do not control their content or data practices.
Children
This site is intended for adults who are researching Medicare coverage. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date at the top of the page changes. The site’s data version and last-updated date are shown in the footer.
